Sponsor a child today

“For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand , saying to you, “Fear not, I will help you”, Isaiah 41:13

We appeal to you, to join us in advancing the Kingdom of God through sponsoring a child. Your contributions are the very reason lives are Transformed and for Good! African Hearts Educate a child progam is unique. We build on the God given gifting and strengths in our children and develop them holistically.
Our approach resonates with the child’s development process following their rehabilitation after street life, through to formal primary school, secondary, tertiary levels. Non formal education sponsorship is provided to children with missed schools years and are taken through homeschool, vocational training and apprenticeships. The variation in our sponsorship builds self-assurance, personal aspirations, self-esteem and leadership qualities of each child. Studies show that correspondence with sponsors elevates the students’ academic results even further. We welcome correspondence with your sponsor child.
How does Educate a child work?
Every child blessed with a sponsor is supported for every study milestone and achievement which we call phases within the formal school learning;
Primary school phase

Secondary School phase
The phase runs from Senior One to Senior Four (Ordinary level). O’Level completion includes the achievement of the Uganda National Certificate of education. Students then progress to Advanced Level (A’ Level) for a two year study after which they achieve the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE). Successful UACE enables students to progress to Tertiary or University level education.
African Hearts partners with select, good quality, affordable and inclusive secondary boarding schools where the girls and boys are admitted to pursue their education.

Tertiary/University
The students go on to pursue the degrees or diplomas of their dreams. These run from a minimum of two years to six years. The phase marks the end of the child sponsorship.

Youth Education and Training
Leaving no child behind underscores our child sponsorship. Some of the street children rescued either have missed formal school years or have not been to school at all. After their rehabilitation in our homes, we work with them to identify their talents, passions and gifting. We then support them to join vocational skilling and apprenticeships, which last from a minimum of 3 months to 2 years as per the Uganda, Technical and Vocational Education and Training curricula.
Group sponsorship: Just like we do not want to leave any child behind, we do not want to leave any sponsor behind. A group of people can sponsor a child or a group of children.
