The formal education support given to rehabilitated former street children and other vulnerable children right from primary, secondary to tertiary education. The Children at primary level are enrolled into the African Hearts Junior School while those at secondary level are enrolled into 4 Schools with which AFRIHCO has formal partnerships.
The African Hearts Junior School was established in 2011 to provide safe learning spaces to rehabilitated street children who may have dropped out of school. AFRIHCO constructed classrooms, sports facilities and gender segregated boarding houses with standard WASH facilities. While at school, the children receive education alongside continuous child protection, mental health and psychosocial support to keep them in school. Through sponsorship, the children are also given full tuition, scholastic materials, residence and other material support for their learning.
